Tá eg skrivi, síggi eg fyri mær tað eg sigi frá um, eg havi myndirnar í høvdinum, men hóast eg lærdi at skriva og mangt annað í skúlanum, lærdu tey okkum ongantíð at tekna. Tí havi eg altíð verið noydd at biðja onnur at gera tær myndirnar, sum eg vil hava til søgurnar.
Tað hevur sjálvandi sínar fyrimunir at fáa onnur at gera myndir til mínar tekstir. Søgurnar verða sæddar við øðrum eygum og okkurt verður lagt afturat, ein onnur dimensión. Samstundir er tað eisini ørkymlandi, tí eg veit jú longu, hvussu tær eiga at vera.
Tá eg byrjaði at gera 3D myndir, skilti eg knappliga, at hóast eg ikki havi lært at tekna, kann eg kortini gera myndir. Eg skuldi bara gera 3D til 2D og arbeiða víðari við grafisku forritunum á telduni, sum eg longu eri so von. Mínar fyrstu bókamyndir komu í Mín jólabók 2016, síðani havi eg havt søgur við myndum á hvørjum árið og eisini gjørt mínar egnu myndabøkur.
When I write, I imagine what everything looks like, I have the pictures in my head, but although I learned to write and everything else in school, they did not teach us to draw. Therefore, I have always had to ask others to illustrate my texts.
Of course, it has its advantages to get others to illustrate. The texts are seen with other eyes, get a different dimension. At the same time, it is also frustrating, because I already know how they should be, and they don’t always match.
When I started on my 3D pictures, I suddenly realized that even though I have not learned to draw, I can still make illustrations. I just have to get the 3dimensional into 2 dimensions and continue working on the graphics programs on the compter, which I’m already used to.
My first illustrations came in “My Christmas Book” (My Christmas Book) 2016. Since I have had illustrated stories in the christmas book every year and also published my own illustrated books.
